Damn, i wish i heard the negative reviews before I bought the kooks. I just installed them today, and the seem to fit great. The only problem i have now, is that the merge pipe outlet/exit flange does sit at a straigh 90 degree angle to the truck. I'm not sure what the stock pipe orientation is, since i never had the stock exhaust on this truck. But now i have a 5 inch gap between the mid pipe flange and my mufflers pipe flange. Ill probably have to get a tow to a muffler shop and have my exhaust side extended to the merge.
Ill probably weld the slip fits myself if they leak.

I have a shitty flux core welder with lots of spatter. Id rather not mess up these nice headers. I chopped the kooks flanges tacked a pipe in place to get to the shop, where they welded in a nice v band.

I was thinking the same thing on the drive to the shop. I bought mine used and the seller had cut the rear flange off. So my 7yo put his ear buds in for his 3DS and shooting ear muffs over top and I drove the about 20 miles to my exhaust guy. Fun drive 😎

So after all the headache trying to find a flange that will fit the kooks flange, and be 3 ID, I got an email today from Kooks. They sell the flange for $16.43!
It would have been nice if they responded sooner, but I guess I should have just called. Oh well, it's "custom" now.
For future Kooks buyers, just know that if you want connect their mid pipe to anything besides stock exhaust (which I would think that includes everyone), you might want to order this flange from Kooks at the same time. Talk to Eli, he didnt supply the part number.

I should've thought to say it earlier but, dealing with Kooks, just call on the phone. If he's still there, ask for "Coolaid". Yes, I'm serious, that's what he answers to. He was always my answer guy while shopping, pricing, and installing. Great dude to deal with and very smart on the products.

Yea! Eli has done right by me. He is a cool guy. I will have to ask for Coolaid. LOL. I have just have to call just to see if he is really out there.
And btw DONT weld stainless steel with any flux core wire for carbon steel. It will break or crack on you down the road. They make wire for welding SS and carbon steel together or just wire for welding SS. Not sure if it is available in flux core but it probably is.

Thanks for the heads up. My flux core weld was very temporary. Just to connect my muffler piping to the merge pipe, and drive 6 miles to the exhaust shop. It's been cut out now.
Now if I could just get the slip fit connections on the merge pipe to seal %100...
