Default 1/4 mile question

Currently I have an 04 Dodge QC with a Hemi. I was considering a Chevy as my next truck.

My question is this, what would it take to get an 4x2 ECSB with a 5.3L into the 14's? The truck would be at least an 03 or newer. Probably more like an 05 or so. Not sure if it makes much difference anyway.

My Dodge has a best of 15.44 but the DA was around 1700ft. I only have a homemade intake with a k&n drop in and a magnaflow muffler though.

Thanks,
Joey

Not too much. A 5.3L or more with the right gear/tire size combo, a cam and good tuning should get you into 14's.

Thats not too bad. Im not sure if I will get a Chevy or not. I was actually looking for a Chevy when I bought my Dodge. I mainly wanted a fullsize ecsb with a V8 and an auto when I was looking. I was coming from a reg. cab Ranger 4cyl 5 speed. I stumbled across the Dodge and like it alot so I took it home.

I dont know, I still like it but I think I could get just as nice a truck with a cheaper payment by going to Chevy. Plus, you guys are so lucky when it comes to tuning. My Dodge has very few options as far as tuning, mostly piggybacks just to run most of the cams.

Get the chevy and a few bolt ons and you'll be well into the 14's... remember nitrous is a bolt on
