Red o-ring right, unless you are using a different pickup tube then you just match the correct o ring to the pickup tube.

1260+350 CORE CHARGE=$1610 to my door, complete with harness, front drives,intake with Throttle body fuel rail,wires,manifolds,92,000 miles.

I think I made out pretty good.

FWIW, it seems like more guys have problems with freshened or rebuilt motors than high mileage stock OEM factory built stuff. My 6.0 in my truck has 170,000 kms on it. Runs like brand new. Great oil pressure, no oil consumption, and runs nice and quiet after it's up to temperature. It's towed most of its life, 5k-8k lbs.

92k ain't **** for these motors so I wouldn't even pull the heads. I'd take the rod caps off and check the bearing out and peek at the cylinder walls from the bottom and put it back together!

I gotta pull the heads anyways to do the lifters,it's in better shape then I thought,clean and not some rusted or salt corrosion boat anchor, no broken studs, Anybody need any stock parts???

Well Tuesday I'll be the owner if a used 2006 LQ4 and will have a 2004 4.8 up for sale that night.

All right ANOTHER change in plans, Found a 2003 LQ4 with 65,000 miles,for $1300 TO my door. Any difference in the 03 or 06 motors?
