what reluctor ring are you going for?
Some 05s started using the 58x reluctor
maybe its different for the 6.0 lq4?

I know it's a little late to throw my hat in, but I just grabbed a LS1 without knowing the history on it with 97,xxx on the clock. I'm just going to run it to a machine shop and have them throw new bearings in it, maybe a hone to freshen up the crosshatch.

The 2003 had a return fuel system right? I could just swap over my intake/fuel lines/injectors/throttle body and go right, I thought that all the 03 and up trucks motors used the same set up.

I can swap over my Throttle body off my 4.8,as it is DBW and the 6.0 is DBC,use that for the time being till I get the right one right? or can I just swap over my ENTIRE intake and go?

The 58x wheel wasn't starting to be used untill late 06 iirc. If your truck is earlier then that you will be fine using the 6.0 you picked up. All you have to do is pull the pan, you can see the diff in the 2. Use your intake from your 4.8, it is the same as the 6.0. They didn't start going returnless untill 04. 05 up 6.0's have the same internals, as to the pre 05 the lq9 had the stronger rods. Needles to say the pre 05's are still a incredibly strong engine. Put it in, let it eat.
