Question 05' SS 2 wheel drive????

It's been a while since i been on LS1TECH so this is probably a dumb question. I was at the dealership today talking to a sales rep about the 2005 SS Silverado's and he said they are 2wd know and not AWD. Is this true? And if it is true, has anyone done a 1/4 mile in the 05' 2wd SS (Highly Likely) is it much faster then the 03-04 SS trucks?

yes its true. one of the truck magazines did a test on it and it ran a 15.2 (i think), they were having trouble launching it.

I thought you could get them in 2wd and AWD. Maybe I am wrong.

2wd is optional just like cloth seats. It still runs about the same but with a tune it will be in the high 14s no problem.

I got a 2wd a month ago. Tried going to the track last weekend and half way down there(100 mile trip) it started raining. We are trying it again tomorrow, but they are calling for rain again. I will keep you guys informed. I am hoping to take it before I install the headers and the tune. I cant take seeing the headers in the box anymore though.

for 05' the 2wd and Awd are available. 3.73 is standard with the 2wd and a 4.10 is optional. the Awd gets a 4.10 standard. for 06' there is going to be no more Awd.
