Talking 05' E-Fans/Nelson Harness/Rev. rotation

Installed 05' E-fans w/Nelson harness and both fans push air instead of pull air through radiator. Has anyone had this problem before? Allen is sending me a new harness thinking it may be in the relay wiring. Great customer service!
Wondering if possible polarity wiring problem with Fans purchased as a complete unit from; http://www.eadperformance.com/catalo...1c862ff297862d
Front wheel drive cars w/2 fans used to have a push/pull fan set up and I'm not sure why this was done? Allen says the fans are 20% less efficient running backwards as well as pushing underhood hot air temps. through hot radiator.
Will keep you posted.

No. The fan blades fit over (cover and enclose) the front of the motors so they cannot be mounted backwards.

You have them in reverse polarity. Try switching the plugs around.

Turning the plugs around will make them turn the right way but they will not lock on the tab if they are turned around. I agree this is reverse polarity causing the problem. I think the new harness will take care of this.

I suspect you got the harness for the LS1 Style fans. The plugs are different/backwards. I had the same problem. They actuallly don't fit right and you've probably bent the pins a bit on the fans. I just turned the plugs around and they fit right but like you said they won't lock in. They fit tight enough that mine haven't come loose even without locking.

Allan said that all the fans are the same and should not make any difference even if it was an LS1 fan. These are OEM 05' truck fans as per Link in post #1. I could pull the 2 wires from each connector and cut them, then switch them and buttsplice to correct polarity for correct rotatation. That way the clips would still hold the connectors on. Instead, Allan said he would send me a new harness. Great Service!
