24MPG!!!!!!!!!!????????? NO friggin way! My burb gets an average of 14.2, and that's if i'm being real good. My window sticker of course said 14-18, i've never seen 18mpg and doubt removing the luggage rack will gain 2mpg.

Hey I''m in Calc III also, and all we deal with is 3-D vectors and partial derivatives.
I could calculate gas mileage in like third grade; its just simple division. By the way, what's goin on in Commerce, I'm in Macon at the moment.

Fact is, those G-Tech's and Drivers Information Centers readouts are not accurate. They allow for general info only. If the only info and times you have is based off of these units, then the info is tainted at best. I or most likely anyone else here probably has no doubt that the g-tech quoted this time for you. As far as mileage, on the downhill side of the ship channel bridge here in houston, When I am going downward, my DIC reads that I am getting 99 mpg. Do I actually think that this is possible. Hell no. Onboard computers and readers can only work so well. They do not calculate drivers tendancies and shifting of gasoline within the tank itself and anything else that can effect mileage readouts.

The only true way to get an accuate 1/4 time is taking it to the track. If you do that and still get a 15.4 e.t. then I personally guaranty that all the naysayers here will eat crow for days. Is it possible? Maybe, anything is possible within reason. Likely? Most likely not.

My moms 05 Silvy 1/2 ton crew cab doesn't average 24 mpg, not much less than that, and its got the 3.23 rear gears bone stock. And I know my mom drives like a gran-ma so if anyone would be possible to do it, it would be her. Plus she drives 40 miles one way to work all highway everday(mon-fri.)

I wish. My ECSB ran a 16.89 stock(g-crap). Now with the shorties, UPD, Magnflow it only ran a 16.4x(almost 16.5). If I got beat by a Suburban with similar mods I would be upset. Sure I am a 4x4, maybe he is 2wd, but I doubt it would be faster still.
Also, I am only getting 12-14 mpg mixed lately. If I got 24 I would buy one for my wife also.
