what do u guys think a stock reg cab fleetside 04 with a 5.3 with 3.42's will run? somewhere in the mid to high 15's would be nice? i would like to think that with a upd intake and corsa exhaust and maybee 3.73's or 4.10's, cause that will be my first mods to my new truck.

 

Should be low 15's. There is one guy that is consistantly hitting something like 14.97 with a bone stock one.

i gotta RCSB with a 5.3 and 3.73's and I ran a 15.04 stock... you should be somewhere in the area of that #...

 

whats the difference between '04 5.3 and say a '00. I noticed the throttle bodies are different; anything else? I think the brochure for my tahoe said 295hp.........

 

Something else I did notice is that there is a different exhaust sound.

 

04 are quicker than 00's. It's all in the tuning from factory.

 

MY 04 GMC RC 5.3 with 3.73 gears ran 14.97 bone stock with 500 miles on it. Now with 6000 miles a flowmaster muffler and a ASP pulley ran 14.45@93.30 last night.

 

there was a reg cab 04 here in houston with hpp3 ran a 14.54 so i would say low 15.00 to high 14's good luck

 

What do the extended cabs run stock?
