anyone done a bosch 044 intake on a returnless system??

I currently have a 255 intank and plenty of injector and the 255 cant keep up. im trying not to convert over to return just to keep things simple.

What fuel system do you have in your high hp returnless set-up?

Switch to a return style system with a larger fuel pump like a Magnafuel 4301, works great and you'll never have to worry about running out of fuel again.

On a RETURNLESS system is it norm for the fp to drop to 0 with just key on? i get 63psi as the pump primes, then it drops to zero as soon as it shuts off

Aftermarket fuel rails make the swap easy. You'll also need to install a fitting for the return on top of the fuel pump/ sending unit assembly, and possibly larger fuel lines depending on which pump you choose. I run an 8AN feed and 6AN return with a magnafuel 4301 mounted inline. I should also note I removed the stock in tank pump and just put a syphon tube in it's place since the stocker was a major restriction in fuel flow with the 4301.

so you are just running the magnafuel pump outside the tank with a empty bucket?

did you remove the evap stuff and intank regulator?

what rails did you go with? also where did you pick up that syphon tube?

I run a fuel cell now, when I had the stock tank the evap stuff was still place so I could pass emissions, regulator was removed and a new magnafuel regulator was mounted on the return side of the fuel rails, the syphon tube was nothing fancy just a piece of aluminum tubing, and the pump was mounted outside of the tank on the frame rail. The 4301 pump is usually listed as just a push style pump, but according to magnafuel the pump can pull up from 3 feet below it and still provide full capacity. I have an LSX manifold with ls1 fuel rails, but I have seen people with the stock truck manifold and aftermarket aluminum fuel rails. I'm not sure where they got them though.

alright, i think i got a good shoppin list to convert over to return:

fast rails
Aeromotive fpr
-8 feed and -6 return line/fittings
bosch 044

My plan, pull out the bucket and get rid of that stock regulator. Im going to leave the walbro 255 installed. drill and tap for a -6 return fitting on top sending unit emptying into the bucket.

Next, add the bosch 044 inline with single -8 feed line all the way to the fast rails. After the rails, -6 line to the aeromotive fpr and -6 back to the fitting on tha tank!

SOUND GOOD??

One more q, is there anything special i have to do to remove the intank regulator?

The regulator, and filter canister should pull right out, after you release the little tabs. Also remember, nobody offers aftermarket rails for the truck intake. You'll have to fab up some mounting brackets.
