Default 04 5.3 Envoy XL at the track

There's never much in here about Envoys and Trailblazers, but I like them so I ordered one.

Its got the all aluminum 5.3, 4WD, 3.73, G80.

I've got 3,300 miles on it now so I wanted to take it to the track along with my 91 LS1 Z28 just to see what it runs (and to get a baseline before making any changes). I let my son drive the Envoy.

Nothing exciting to report, just the facts.

Run 1: 16.76 @ 82.13, 2.527 60'
Run 2: 16.74 @ 82.16, 2.497 60'
Run 3: 16.50 @ 83.18, 2.476 60'
Run 4: 16.44 @ 82.80, 2.450 60'
Run 5: 16.58 @ 82.70, 2.478 60'
Run 6: 16.54 @ 82.60, 2.441 60'

That was 100% stock with 3/4 tank of gas and the spare tire still in place. It can only get better!

I'm interested in your '91 LS1 Camaro. I bet that thing sneaks up on people.

I have been thinking about this since last week. I want to get a short envoy or trailblazer and make it run 12's all motor. I think that would be just bad *** as anything. What kind of weight are you talking about with the envoy? Does the rear have 4 link suspension already?

I wonder if you can get the short version of it with the 5.3?

The only short version available with the 5.3 is the Ranier. Otherwise its the inline 6.

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe that will change since the Ranier has it.
