I don’t know anyone around here that I trust to do a cam swap and I don’t have the tools to get the oil pan, oil pump, and front cover aligned properly.

I wouldn't mess with the cam because of the VVT. I don't think anyone has a VVT cam yet, you would have to same to a regular cam.
You love the 6l80E first gear and the 3.73!
