Default 03 and up throttle body on 02 down engine?

Is there any reason why you can't put a 2003 and up dbw truck throttle body on a 2002 - 2000 style engine with dbw?

This is my set up, and I have re-pinned the harness for the single large plug of the 2003 - up tb. I have no throttle pedal and am getting code P1220 and P1221. Engine will start and idle - tb will click and whine when you first energize it...but that is it.

I'm getting ready to go through the diagnostic this morning for those codes. I put the tb on a buddies 2003 truck and it moved correctly with his pedal and no codes.

Thanks!

OKay...been out there testing this and that....

I have 5.0 being fed FROM the green signal 1 wire out of the TAC module. So...I don't know if this is how that module is suppose to feed, or if there is a module failure.

The module is new - but is is a 12574421 number - listed up to 2002.

So...do I hunt down a 2002 throttle body to try it out...or hunt a 2003 module...or do I just have a defective 2002 module????

The throttle body does work - I plugged it on my buddies 2003 and it was fine. My engine is newer than the harness I'm working with - thus the mix up.

Yeah, i'm thinking so. I was doing some reading a couple of weeks ago about a similar issue and IIRC, the 03+ DBW TAC setup has a fewer number of wires than the 02 DBW TAC setup, which throws it off.
