My wife's car (our family car) is an 03 Burb with a 5.3.
After I'm done with my SS I was thinking about freeing up some horsepower in the little modern mouse motor.
The car is a daily driver so I'll be staying mild...here's what I'm thinking.
Shorty headers
High Flow cats
CAI
Cam
Tune
Any advice...What would be a good cam to just let it breathe, maintain smooth drivability and not hurt fuel economy?
Also, how much would larger intake valves help? The stock 1.89" intakes can't be helping things much.
TIA

Well I would be considered a budget upgrade, and over all I'm pleased.
Westers Garage Tune (87-91 tune)
E-Fans
Volant Intake
Seat of the pants is much better.
This and next week comes my catback exhaust and tranny upgrades.
So far I've picked up almost 3MPG!
