Default electric fan install

Anybody had any probs with ls1 electric fan setups and cooling problems? Looking to put a set on my 99, and will do some towing here and there, but just worried overall about problems w/ls1 efans out of a camaro.

How about the 2005 fans from 05 GM trucks? That is the route I am going. I was just thinking about this while in the shower this morning heh, I was going to make a post, how hard is the install of efans?

Ive been reading old posts about it for about a week. I went ahead and bought the harness from Allen. I think I'll be able to get the job done in 2 hours or so. After doing the cam swap and methanol kit, this just doesnt seem all that involved. A couple of brackets a few wires and a quick change in the PCM and your done.

Real easy. Hardest part for me was plugging that darn little pin into the PCM harness and mounting the relays.

The 05 Efans are simple if you have a regular truck. It was simple on my H2 as well... AFTER I quite trying to make stock oil cooler lines bend into the right place and finally cut and spliced with rubber hose. You wouldn't have that issue so it is really easy. Definitely get the Nelson harness. That is a key to the easy installation.
