02 Chevy Single Cab 1500 5.3
#1
I am looking into doing some more mods to my truck but don't really know what or about how much it will cost. I was thinking maybe a nice cam, headers, maybe new exhaust and a tune but like I said not sure about how much that would put me back. I am really looking to make it sound mean and a little faster.

1. Ditch the Hypertech, the chip, and the throttle body spacer. Sell them locally to some young kid, and recoup some of your money lost. 2. What's your budget? It all depends on budget. 3. Use the search feature. This is a forum that's great with advice and overall help. You'll find lots of useful information on LS builds and where to start.
If you're planning on going big with the build in the future, I don't see a point in wasting time with certain parts now. If you want to go FI, N/A, etc., that will change what I'd recommend. Those two points, along with your budget, make all the difference in the world. For N/A, a real tune, lt's, a 220's duration cam, gears, and a Circle-D single disc will be what most tell you. That is a cheap, proven combo. Beyond a certain point, the trans. will need tending to, most likely. So, take that in account if you're wanting to go bigger than the typical N/A suggestions.
