Lightbulb '00 ECSB in the 14's?

i know you guys have a lot of know-how!
i have a '00 ECSB, 5.3, 4l60e, 3.42's, G80.
mods are- k&n intake, Hypercrapper, throttlebody bypass.
Tires are Liberator All-terrain (walmart) 255/70/16
they are cheap and very lite.

i havent takin my truck to the track, because im too busy working.
but i think im running around a 15.1-15.2?? my guess?
what would it take to hit a 14 flat??
money wise and mod wise
i would like for it to be dependable like it is now.

Thanks guys for sharing...

Drag radials,150 shot , intake ,exhaust got me to 14.02 Waiting on cooler weather to see if the trans mods helped much. I should have a 13.xx truck this winter.

is it 4wd?

Cam $300, headers$300-$700, Custom Tune, shift kit and servos in tranny$120, tq converter$200-$1000. weight reduction.

Those mods will get you running good. mabey faster than 14 flat.

mWalls54 nailed it bro

That's what it took to get my 4x4 the 14.29@97mph. The weight reduction helps a lot but you won't have to do as much since you start off 400lbs or so lighter than me.

I will stress though that with a cam it will take a good tuner to get all of the potential out of it. My cam was a good improvement over my old LS6 cam but I picked up another 2mph or so just from tuning.

cam for the 5.3 375, with cam might as well do 918s and pushrods too, thats another 250. unless you install it, nelson charges 500 to install all three. TQ was 454 @3K stall (TCI) shift kit was 130, and while you are at it better get a cooler too, thats another 85 or so. headers PS LTs 375, tuner, everyone and they're momma says nelson another 500 bones. sorry to be an A-hole. i am just pissed 5K wont get me in the 13s. thats is with no n2o or fi damn, time to man up i suppose
