hahaha, your dealin with the gov't. you don't get that up front. yea it is nice in the bi-weekly check but trust me, the gov't don't give **** up front......you need to talk to a good yeoman or pn to get the scooop my friend. especially if you reenlist, sell some leave back. hmmmmm, possibilities are endless there.....

my advice is while you are gone, your wife come up with a problem with something, such as, the car just died and she needs it go get to work or school or whatever. then contact navy marine family relief and ask for money. most of that **** is given in grants. you could probably squeeze an additional 2k out of them. and never have to pay it back.

but what do i know. i was only in for 10 years...

Thats why I'm going to buy one thing at a time till i get back. As for the reinlist bonus If i do it it will be $9k up front. After taxes and all. That will bring total play money up to $21K.

As for what it will cost its not all that much because i do most everything myself.

408 with heads-----------$5500
FLP 4L80E and stall-------$4000
4link rear-----------------$1500 ????????
Fuel cell and pumps-------$400 (family owned boat shop so cell is free)
All Braided line------------$0.00 (I make the stuff at work free)
Injectors-----------------$500
T90 Big Bertha-----------$???? (changed my mind )
D-max cooler-------------$380
Custom headers and piping--$1500 (F1Dyno in Portland)
4" turbo back w/muffler---$300
____________________________________
Grand total-----------$14,080 + the turbo when they e-mail me back a price.

cool. if you get 9 grand up front, invest it for a little while. get some money out of it then buy your stuff. I have a buddy that reenlisted and his srb was outrageous. like 50K for an IT2 at the time. he was upset that he didn't get anything up front.
