So the Circle D is about $700-750? I might start doing some reasearch....got any links to guys that have been using them with good results?

When I was reasearching last night, I found some guys claiming that the Yank TT2600 was a tb verter painted red, but I later found out that they use GM cores and totally re-work them internally.

I'd send an email to each company you're interested in, and see what they recommend for your setup, then do a pt search (and a google search) and see what kind of 60fts and trap speeds people are pulling with them and base it on that. Most of the top converter companies all have amazing products, so quality won't really be much of an issue with any of them.

I've heard that the Yank TT series and FI = toasted verter, but everything that I've read about the right Yank for the application has been great. I loved the way tdrumm's TT3000 felt behind his 5.3...

Call Yank and talk to Dave; he's a really great guy to deal with. I called him with my order and even though I was pretty set on an SS3600 we went over my setup to make sure it was ideal. He said I was on the right track and so far I've been pleased

I'm not going to say Circle D does not make a good converter. I know several people that have them and swear by them. That being said, I have a TT3000 in my truck. It's been in there for about 75k and I'm pulling some pretty decent 60ft's with it so I can't complain. I'd say it's held up pretty damn well. But by the same token, I bought a PI-2800 Tripple Disc to replace it with. I feel like I may get a little more out of it (hope). I'm just too lazy to swap them out. I believe all three companies can and will build a converter to suite you.

If you're looking for strictly performance I would stay away from the tt. I'm looking to get out of my tt3000.
