Default Yank SS4000 in a rcsb?

I just picked up a yank ss4000 at a steal of a price. I have a 99 rcsb 5.3 with longtubes, efans, and a tune. The truck also has 3.42 gears. Im lookin to go with 4.10s in the next few months, but i am wondering if this converter will be "ddable " with my 3.42's for the time being?

The 4.10s will definitely help get it rolling but its still gonna be pretty wild lol. I DDd my old ls1 sierra, tr224 with ss4k and it's not exactly street friendly.. but tolerable if your drive isn't too bad?

You bette get some drag radials with 4.10s and a 4k lol

The stall won't be bad with the gears but before the gears it'll be loose as a goose.

The 99 5.3 egr cam really sucks though, any other cam will really help it out. Even a stock 6.0 would already help alot with that stall

When I had the ls1 in the truck it had a torquer v2 with a 4k stall and 3.73s it was fun to be honest and not too unbearable...minus in heavy traffic.

Just depends on your definition of DD. I don't like a loose converter for DD so if it was my truck I wouldn't run it. But a lot of guys would love every second of it like Jake said. Definitely get the 4.10's though. They will make a world of difference.
