does anybody tow with one of these? I dont expect to tow often but when I do it will be 6-7k for several hundred mile at a time. can this TC still work ok for me?

 

if you are going to be towing, i'd say check out the TT series. However it limits you to a TT3000.

I recommend Circle D, give chris a call and he will recommend what is best for your needs.

 

The Pro Truck line is a way tougher and heavier duty clutch then the TT line of Yank converters. Thats also the reason they are more expensive.

 

whats the towing capabilites as he will be pulling a heavy load? I glanced at yanks site and didn't see anything mentioned, just saw it mentioned on the TT series.....being heavier duty i'd believe its capable but it doesn't mention it

 

I run a CircleD 2600-2800 and tow with it, Chris recommended to go with it or if I didn't tow too much a 3000. After having it for awhile I do not think a 3000 would be that bad, as long as you have a big enough trans. cooler.

 

i called them about the towing capabilities of the pt series verters a few months ago and they told me i would be ok pulling about the same weight you mentioned

 

My PT3600 has the 6 bolt front cover and lock up clutch from a 4l80e converter with a hub snout designed to fit a 4l60e.

 

i recently got a pt3200 and wondered why is there 6 bolt spots on the front of the verter, but the stocker only has three.?
