Default Wow I got bad luck

Few weeks ago my tranny blew, which I exspected to happen after the 6.0 install, anyways got a nice new tranny built up and thrown in, got in back wednesday of last week, yesterday my damn g80 exploded! 8 days and my truck is out of commision again. What should I do as far as the rear end goes? Im pretty sure my ring and pinion are salvagable but Im not to sure

A locker isnt even an option right now, I just started college this week and Im like broke now, so sadly I have to keep the repairs reliable yet cheap and throw them on my credit card and slowly pay it off while working/going to school

If you are not doing the work yourself....spend the cash now or you will surely pay twice as much in labor down the road...do it once.....do it right. I know you are on a budget but it is just good sense to do it once.

8.625" but a lot of places call it an 8.5 for some reason. Just be sure you specify that it's the late model (99+) 10 bolt rear.

Words to live by! But I can appreciate that a junkyard would be a low-cost alternative, but then u gotta hope it was loved by the owner. New gets rid of that.

As cdub81 said, http://www.ronsmachiningservice.net/.../28/Categories $385.00 bucks
Do it. It's either that or the Eaton.

Ben, on Ron's site, it says for '90-up. Did somethin change from '90 to '99? Other than the fact that '99 was new model. I've a '89 c1500 & was told it's the same.
