Default Would you be worried about this tranny?

Just tipped my "new" low mile 07 4L80E up on end to drain any remaining fluid out and didn't like what I saw. The fluid was red and milky floating on dark watery fluid as it phase seperates.... I popped off the pan and it looks pristine inside. The pan has normal looking clutch dust in it with only a dusty looking material stuck to the magnet. Doesn't look to have been touched, but wondering now if this tranny spent some time in the water.... What should I do at this point. I was gonna shift kit it and run, but now I'm worrying about that. It does have a 6 month part warranty, up to the full replacement if needed.

This is what I drained out

And it doesn't smell bad at all, no burnt smell or rotten smell like I have smelled in flood damaged parts.

Wouldn't bother me if I didn't see some rusted parts internal. Just got some water in it.

Just called the yard that I bought it from and asked what there handling procedure was for their mechanical parts they sell, his respose was that they drain the fluids and pressure wash every piece before it leaves... aha... it's what I was hoping he'd say. So I then told him what I found and he said it sounded completely normal to him. Guess the HD2 kit will be in shortly then

Thanks Guys

Oh, would you do anything special other than just install the shift kit, filter and fill her up? Anything else to be sure it's clean internally?

Visually check the rear seal, front seal and TC shaft seal. Install the kit, I recommend the entire kit with pump mods, springs and snap ring, but much more involved.
