Unhappy WOT tuning session turns to ****

So last night I was making some 0-120 WOT runs to get my VE table closer. I'm still way too rich (10.5 AFR). Well, my 3-4 clutches couldn't take it. This is getting old. Transmission is being removed as I type. I'm considering replacing the bellhousing bolts with a zipper......

It's built. I was seeing 180-185kPa on the scanner, 10-11 psi on my boost gauge.

The same guy, it's under warranty. It was working flawlessly since November when it was completely gone thru again(broke forward piston/smoked 3-4 clutches). There was no warning, no flared shifts, no slipping......then right out of nowhere it had an extended 3-4 shift, then I knew. Nothing but slippage in 3rd or 4th.

I believe they are Raybestos blue, and something was modified to hold more clutches & steels.

If I could get the transmission to live, and my IAT's under control(pulls timing like a biatch...), it will be a beast! I'm working on it.

No that feeling. I had the same issue. I went through (3) sets of third gear clutches and then jump-up to the 80E even know I still like 60E better. I have tone of log files at the track showing that third gear wasn't slipping. All I can firgure out is that the transfer from 2nd to third wasn't happing fast enough. My trans had shift kit and think they are reds clutches and Z-pack as well.
