The thing is, its freaking expensive, both to buy and to ship. I was wondering if anyone else had done something like this, other than 6+ bags of Quikrete. Just think it would be a cool addition to a truck that doesn’t haul anything.

Hmmm, another way to make a Dodge slower......lol.

If I wanted to add weight at the rear of the bed, to calm down the ride, I think I would build it under the bed, between the frame rails, above the spare tire. Maybe some square-stock, filled with sand/concrete, welded shut, then welded or bolted to the frame. I wouldn't want to be loading and unloading stuff over that thing in the bed of the truck all the time. It would get old quick.

throw a few sheets of 5/8" drywall in the bed and trim to the length of your bed. Cheap, lots of well distributed weight and you can still put stuff in the back. I bought the shuretracks and now it just sits in the garage.

Forget this for making the truck work better, but anyone that runs a 2wd in the winter, this would be a cool winter weight, as opposed to sand bags.
