Default Will a shift kit 80e really last me?

From what I have been reading on here and tech an 80e with a shift kit in it will work fine for my app atleast last me a few months. At this point i would rather put the money saved towards other things. I would do the first gear conversion and a transgo kit. From what I have read a shift kit 80e is good for about 800rwhp and thats about right where I will be at on the big shot of nitrous. I will be using a window switch on the nitrous and eventually a progressive controller. Most likely I will just spray a 200 shot for now on it.
