Default Will an auburn limited slip from a mid 90's caprice work in my C1500?

I've seen lots of auburn units floating around on ebay for teh cheap that cam out of mid 90's caprices and roadmasters. They are labeled as G80's but are not lockers, they are limited slip, clutch and cone style carriers. I was wondering if the splinage and size is the same as what would work in my '97 C1500. Does anyone know? I would like to upgrade before winter gets here.

If they both have the same spline count, yes..............

Ya should be fine- just verify the spline count. Might need different sized bearings but otherwise yer good to go................

I had an auburn in my '96 4.3L S10, it worked great for about 6 months then started to one wheel peel. I did beat the snot out of that truck tho, I lost count how many tires I put on it. Normal driving it would have probably last a bit longer.

as long as the carrier is a 3 series, it will fit. I have a friend that put one in his 92 rcsb.

So long as the B body had the 8.5" rear it will work fine. You are after a 30 spline axle.
