why do i need to raise mph lockup

Default why do i need to raise mph lockup

I just bought a performabuilt level 2, frank said I would need to set my line pressure stock on my tune wish I understand, but he also said I need to raise the mph lockup, what does that mean? Why is that? I'm new to that :s

mph lock up is the desired speed you want your converter to lock at...

mine is currently set at 40 mph... depending on cam size and other desires, you can choose to make it lock up at whatever speed you want..

now if frank is talking about WOT lock up. i would have it set NOT to lock up in wot.

i lock mine at WOT. it feels like another shift.

Stw have you ran any comparisons of lock vs unlock? I think locking is good for FI to load the engine but I think for NA unlocked is better

im running nitrous. it just feels better to me. i forget to compare the difference every time i go to the track

start a thread on locked vs unlocked and see if anyone has ever compared the difference.

There was one a while back but everyone that chimed in just said what feels better to them without track results

bump that thread...trucks have come a LONG way since that thread was started. alot of people are pushing twice as much power and tuning themselves.

if not mistaken i have done this before with pretty much the same results but my plans this weekend is to give it another comparison since its been awhile, personally i like the way it feels.
