Default Who's putting decent power through a 4l60

Alright 4l60 haters,

Who is putting decent power through these **** boxes. Companies claim to build them for 700hp... I know the weight of trucks kill these things early, but someone out there must be trying their luck. I love the 60's first gear, so the 80 swap is a depressing thought.

Gimme some numbers to back your stuff up.

I'm going to try and run my truck with some spray (75 shot) thru the 60 maybe, trans hasn't skipped a beat with my cam yet.

The sonnax sun she'll seems to help a ton of issues without the vibration problems of the beast shell. That's all I got.

I'm in the middle of a 4l80e swap fwiw.

Im still running a bone stock original 4l60 in my pro charged ss. Never been on a dyno but its probably making close to 400hp at the wheels maybe? It also has 200000 miles on it and never misses a beat. I do drive like a grandma tho, so that probably helps keep it alive.

Im running a 60 in my 99 on 35s with 6 inches of lift and 345 to the ground, know its not much compared to some of these other guys, but considering the additional power of the built 6.0 (for last 1500-2000 miles) and 120lbs or so per tire, i know its taking a shitload of abuse and so far has been holding up.... Though i am currently on the 4th trans in the truck.... 264,000 miles this ones about due to go, but at this point the fluid doesnt even look burnt, but its always seemed a bit off even when i first got it about 5 years ago....

I swapped my stock one out for a built 4l80e at 240k miles and it still worked pretty good! Granted I was only putting maybe 320hp through it.

My 07 in sig had a built 4l60 and I beat the **** out of it for ~16000 or so full throttle downshifts with autotrac and all. Had Raysbestos Reds. It did fine.
