You might check out www.fullsizechevy.com ... they have a 2WD section in their off-road forum where there are a lot of people who have done 2WD lifts...

2WD lifts are cheaper to buy and easier to install than 4WD lifts would be ...

But, the other option you have would be to do a body lift.

I don't really know how a body lift would look on a non-suspension lifted 2WD truck however
