Who makes Leveling Kits???

First of all, let me say Hi to everyone. This is my first post on this board. I have a '02 Silverado, nothing fancy, just what I need. I'm not looking to make it fast, I have a 90 Mustang for that, but I needed a daily driver. I work in a auto shop so there was only one vehicle that I would buy and that is the best vehicles made... the full size Chevy truck (silverado, tahoe, suburban, ect). I love this truck, wouldn't trade if for anything except maby another GM truck. The "mods" I want to do to it increase it's capabilities, utility, and drivability.
One thing that bothers me about my truck is that it sits too low in the front. I've heard about these leveling kits that is basically just a spacer that goes under the front spring and lifts the front end just enought to match the back. I know they make them for Fords, Dodge's, and Toyota's, but what about us?

Either crank up the stock torsion bar keys or install some Ford keys and crank even more to raise it up.

I don't believe he would have torsion bars in that, unless it's a 4x4 (he didn't say).
You could always get a lift kit and just use the front pieces, I guess. You can get coil spacers, but I don't think I would put in anything over 1 inch for safety reasons. I'm with joesilver01, though, in that bringing down the back would be better-IMO.

I think your best bet might be a 2" lowering shackle for the rear. Pretty cheap and easy to install. Not sure but you should able to get them for less than $50. Probably better than lifting the front with spacers.

I really am not a big fan of torsion bar "cranking" ... I mean if you wanna maybe play with them a hare, it doesn't really effect the ride of your truck too much....
I've played around with mine a lot ... I've installed the Ford keys, only to take them off and sell them, and set everything back to stock because I couldn't stand how much harsher it made the ride. The thing rode like a tank even over the slightest bumps, and I really didn't like how "bouncy" it made the truck feel.
I then realized that my stock shocks were garbage, so I put some Rancho RSX's on ...One of the best mods you can do to your truck would be to replace the factory shocks (even if it's a Z71) with a Bilstien or Rancho or something .... Anyways, once I put the new shocks on I tried cranking the bars again (with the stock keys) and I still couldn't stand the ride.
There are several companies who have sold so-called "leveling kits" for these trucks over the last several years, but all they've done is basically make torsion bar keyways there are re-indexed in order to "crank" the bar more.
The only company I've seen that made any real sort of leveling kit was Cognito, but I would highly dispute their claim that cranking torsion bars does not effect the ride of the truck...That's based on personal experience, as well as a little bit of simple physics about springs, torsional or otherwise...

1/4" to 1/2" difference gets 1 or 2 doughnuts . If it sags 1" , add a 1 to the part # spring thats on it . The spring you get will be a heavy duty one. So if you replaced both springs with the one up part # ya get a 1" lift.

Thanks everyone. My truck doesn't have torsion bars, it has front coil springs because it's 2WD. I don't want a harsher ride, that's why I liked the idea of spacers because they wouldn't effect the spring rate, just lift them. I don't want to make it ride like a Ford truck or bounce around like a Dodge. Well, I'll just keep looking.
