I did that when I blew my 3-4 clutch pack. If anyone needs a list of what it will take to make a 60e last pm I have a list of all the stuff after hours of research talking to a man that has buitl trannies for 30 years and talking to a BUNCH of people from the net. Mine shifts great even though I dont have much done to my truck I drive like a bat out of hell and take it offroad regularly and tow a 6500# trailer to the offroad park to run my ford bronco(yeah I know its a ford but hey they are great little trucks). It will cost you about 1500 bucks for the parts plus a stall and they $ to have the work done to the tranny and having it pulled if you dont do it yourself. BTW I know pretty much everything thier is to know about removal/installation of the tranny and transfer case.

120K and still the original tranny. only mod is a servo. i have thrown nitrous at, cam, headers and all the other bolt ons. the only thing i don't have is a stall. and i use dr's at the track. knock on wood that it last, cause i can't afford a new one right now.

I haven't blown up #3 yet. I put a Transgo in this one the week after I got it (along with the vette servo and B&M supercooler I had before) and it seems to be holding up ok. However, I know it wont last forever and I have had all the warranty replacements the dealer will allow so I will be having it 'built' when it does go out this time.

If you baby it you can get lots more miles outta it but, if you continue like normal(like I did ) it'll be gone within the month I'd guess. Damn 4L60E's
That's exactly what mine did for a few weeks until last week when it blew. As soon as it blew though it messed up every gear. It was toast with the mods in my sig.

Ya its real fun to race when the Trans is fried like that too. You stomp on it and it ether shifts down and bounces off the limiter, or stays in second and just slips.

Burned up my 2-4 band and blew the 3 and 4 clutch pack on my L60. I think thats right... And that was when i was stock.

When i did H/C on my 6.0 swap, i got the trans built, and for the first ~3000 miles, I have not had a problem yet. ::knocks on wood::

Wish I could be part of the "HAVE NOT" group in this case. I think mine would have been alright if the shift pressures in my tune were correct from the beginning. Either way it would have taken a crap!
