Default Who has broken aluminum driveshaft ECSB 4X4?

Who has broken an aluminum driveshaft in an ECSB 4X4? My truck has a 68 inch one piece aluminum driveshaft and I'm wondering how worried I should be about it coming apart. I did take it out and have it balanced but now that my truck is starting to run pretty good I'm getting worried about the safety issues. Running my truck through the quarter in 4wd at over 115mph feels weird enough but I want to make sure that nothing is going to come apart on the big end. If you have broken one what was the situation and speed? Thanks

Most of them break on the dyno at high speeds. was it High speed ballanced? 130-140mph speeds is where it usually gives out in all the threads i've seen.

Personally, I don't see why anyone would build a shaft that long. that's just so damn LONG.

I love my 2 piece

My shaft was not high speed balanced. I could not find anybody near me that could balance faster than 2500 rpms so I figured that was better than nothing.
