Default What would YOU do? Tranny...

With 10,000 miles on the tranny since the Whipple, it could go any time. When it does, I want to pull the trigger and replace it with teh bomb-shiz.

But, what is that?
Sorry, I don't want a 4L80 either. Mine's an '04 Hoe w/a 5.3 and 4L60. It has 3.73's now and I'd consider going 4.10's. It's rolling on 295/50/20 Hankooks now and I'm definately buying 305/45/22's next spring.
I'll want a better TC at the same time. Rippin up the pavement would make me a VERY happy man and I want serious 'bark' from 2nd when I'm gettin' on on it.

Built 4l65E with shift kit and stiffer servo's. FLP Level 5 is as good as it gets from what I have read. Chances are it won't be "the bomb-shiz" in that it probably won't hold up either.

i believe that eventually the 65e will let go even when built due to the weight you are pushing around. it will last for a while. but it will go out again imo.

What do you think about these http://www.gearstartransmission.com/products_level3.htm?

They've been written up pretty well.

if not for rossler i'd recomend looking into a trans from jag performance or flp though. both have excellent customer service and great results. chuck and joe are both stand up guys.
