Just read the parts list of either a PB lvl2 or FLT lvl4...But remember, its not just about parts..but the quality of the build as well...

It will handle 400 in stock form for a while and even the rebuild suggested. Look at my sig and im still on a stock 60e with regular fluid changes. I have taken 2 f-bodies into the 10s on stock 60e's as well. If you are careful and mindful of what it can and cant do it will hold for a while. No..its not as strong as an 80e but gets bashed way too much by people who destroy things.

Everyone is different...400 is right at the surviveability threshold if u ask me. If u run it like u stole it, it'll go eventually...but I'd prob do that and hold off a the upgrade to 80E as long as possible.

Get a big trans cooler, 40,000 gvw TruCool. Other than that, vette servo, sonnax OD servo, HD2 shift kit, transgo separator plate, aluminum accumulator pistons, and prayers.

F bodies are a lot lighter than trucks.

Its the power and weight that kills the 60e.

Ill agree totally and respect everyones opinions and experiences....but like one person mentioned above, most people who break them(some even on stock trucks) drive them like they stole it.... 80e is great insurance but I think these folks who go through 3,4,5 trannys and a few built ones need to look in the mirror...there is the problem!....not always the trans lol. These folks could tear up an anvil with a bag of marshmallows! The 60e is not a bad trans, it just has its limits like anything else, be mindful of them and it can live a while.
