I am getting ready to order some suspension parts for the ol truck. I am doing a 2/4 drop on her and I am just wondering what people are running for shocks and how well they like them. I have a 2000 Silverado z71 Ext cab btw.

I have seen people say the QA1 shocks are only good for drag racing and suck on the road for ride and street things, is that true? Other brands I found were the KYB, Edlebrock, Bilsteins, Belltech and Ranchos. So what are your opinions and facts of each?

I really want to have more of a good riding shock and street performance in mind than say strip performance as it is my DD. Anyway what do you all run and do you like them? My budget is around 400-600 for all 4 ready to go in.

 

Ridetech is what I'm about to ordered. Just torn between the rq series or the hq series , but right now I have belltech and they're a to soft for my cc being 3/6 but may work good on a 2/4

 

Them Ridetech shocks look real nice. I am looking at the hq because they appear to be adjustable where the rq come as they are. It is a little more than I wanted to spend but they look really good too.

I do wish more people would chime in though.
