bud how big of a difference did that cam make? a friend of mine is looking for something mild that will wake his truck a bit, but he doesnt want to go too big.

to the op do you plan on doing any kind of converter like a trailblazer maybe? That will also help having a little higher stall than stock.

I think I must be the only one on here thinks the tr220 is a small cam, Im still driving on a stock converter with no 2nd gear and my truck really doesnt have a problem pulling 1500 rpms in 3rd to accelerate. To be honest I wish I would have gone bigger to atleast a 224. I may be one of the few guys that actually rev my truck everytime i drive, so I use the top end as much as the bottom. although I wouldnt recommend that for the op since he has 38s and doesnt rev too high.

That cam and tuning was good for 9/10 and about 8 mph improvement in the 1/4. When I was at stock height on 33's, I ran 16.5@81.7 with bolt on's only, did the cam swap and got it tuned and ran 15.6@89.5. Track conditions were a little better for the second run I'll admit, but not much. Funny thing is my 60 ft times only improved by a tenth or two...that could be because of the 33's or maybe something in the tune. Anyway, there's a noticable improvement over stock and it's a great dd that I don't have any issues with (besides my blown trans lol)
