Find some stock 3/4 ton keys to lower your front, lose the blocks and the overload leaf in the rear, add cal-tracs. See how you like it, you can go lower if you want with shackles. That all works pretty good 'on the cheap.'

Pic of the same setup on 20's, with 275/55R20. Just to give you another idea.

I lowered mine with Belltech lowering keys up front, removed rear blocks, installed Belltech 2" shackles, and spring clamps in the rear. Tires are 285/50-20 on Joe Gibbs Performance wheels.

I am reviving this thread.

I'm lowering my 05 silverado RCSB 4x4 and am thinking about spindles up front, shackles out back and block delete, maybe hangers and set the shackles to 1" drop. Right noiw I sit 2 3/4" higher in the rear, please keep this in mind ans I want no cali lean but am ok with rake.

If I do not use hangers, will my pinion angle be screwed up?

I just had to tighten my torsion bolts to improve ride quality, will I be able to install lowering keys and tighten them up all the way and get equal (better) ride quality to my cranked stock keys?

Delete the block first. Then see what it looks like.
The shackles and hangers in my opinion are not the way to go. You might as well go with lowering leafs. Much easier. I think the ride would be better as well. I think the keys are not the way to go either. Lower control arms or spindles. I did spindles and if I had to do it again I would go lower control arms.

For me, I think I'm just using spindles. After removing the blocks, I am thinking about JUST shackles to maintain rake, maybe remove overload spring. opinions?

Oh, and do I need an alignment after block removal?

No alignment needing for the rear 4*4 block. If you don't have caltracs you need to keep the overload spring. Axle wrap gets bad I have heard. Shackles usually change pinion angle. Pinion angle is a pain in the neck and I hate thinking about it.
