Very interested in seeing how it daily drives, b/c most single cabs with around a 3600-4000 stall like you mentioned lol shifts and drops the rpms like that.
It's a combo of the 4l80e gearing, and a great converter. I have less than 300 RPM slip at my shift, and almost 1000 after it.

That said it short shifts right now, and revving out higher will only make the converter more efficient. 1-2 is 5650 when it will soon be 6200, 2-3 is 6000 when it will soon be 6200.

And yes I'm sure it's only 10# lol. Stay tuned for meth and 13#. I have a few other pretty big but easy mods in the wings too....

He has a similar combo to mine and mine behaves similar. First the 80E has different gearing so the shift extensions are better and second like rob mentioned having a higher shift will help even more. I only see 150-175 rpm slip at a 6300 shift.

My rpm drop is 600 on the 2-3 shift. 6150 to 5650.

here's a video and for whatever reason my tach doesn't really even respond to the shift, but I can see the RPM drop on my scanner. Also, you can hear when it shifts.

Why such a large stall on a smaller cam?
It's for the turbocharger I haven't installed yet. I wanted the turbo to spool above my cruising speeds (so I can stay out of boost), but I didn't want to have trouble getting it to spool when I step on it.

Plus the higher stall is loads of fun to drive around town...yes, I drive it daily!

I don't have a camera and my phone camera sucks, but I found this video and acts 100% like my truck minus the cam part. Pretty much like stock down low, but still drops to 4000 rpm. My shift points are set at 6000 would moving them up to 6200-400 bring the shift rpm up?

Old video of mine, I didn't bring it up on the converter though it is just a roll on. 0-100

I think I was running 10psi in video, it was right after installing the 80e.
