Default Want Input: Gears and Differential

I want to change gears and the differential. Because most of my driving is local(with a few trips less than 3 hours), I tow a small boat and drag race occasionally I'm leaning towards 4.10's I also want opinions on a differential, limited slip Eaton or Auburn, anybody have an opinion which is better. I want to hear the good and bad

If you do a search youll find everything your wanting to know. I'd say go with an Eaton and a set of OEM (GM) 4.10's tho. Super strong and quiet.

He's got it right. Can't go wrong with AAM gears and Eaton LSD. Proven over and over again. Did this in my Avalanche and was very happy with the performance results.

The Detroit Trutrac is another differential you might want to consider. As for gears, I've heard Motive and GM OEM (AAM) gears are the best.
