what does a vette servo do for my truck? it 06 silverado 4.8. is it worth putting? if so what yr model vette and what type??? or any vette will do thanks for the info

does any one have any info? i see everyone talkin about it but i cant find a part # or what yr model vette or what? i want to install a vette servo on my 2006 chevy silverado 4.8 i'm planning on getting the servo from the dealer since i can get a cheap price.

just get on ebay and search "vette servo" it allow crisper quicker shifts because of more apply area...a good cheap mod

yeap, it is an inexpensive tranny mod you can for cheap on ebay. installation is inexpensive too since the only part to remove is the servo that is being replaced. will shift crisper and produce less heat which is a tranny's biggest enemy. you will love it.

if i'm ordering one, should i just get the servo itself or should i also get the longer pin? for some reason i remember reading that you don't need the longer pin, and that it can harm things....is this true? or should i get the longer pin?

True, many guys don't change the pin.

After speaking with FLT, it is best to check your band clearance before making that choice.

It isn't all that hard to do.

Give them a call, they are very helpful.

There are also shims that can be used to adjust the band.
