I got it all for a steal: the 2 shafts, bearing, and crossmember for 200. all from a local junkyard

I am hoping that I can find a 2 pc unit the right length and then only have to weld in the flat bearing support plate to my crossmember to make it work.
You've got it easy then. all you need is some 1/8th in plate with some slotted holes to weld on and the shafts

Have you installed it yet?

Is there another factory 2 piece that would work on a 4wd ecsb?

Install was finished this past weekend. Not sure about you app. Your one pc DS is allot shorter than what i had. Im sure you could have a setup made, but a factory swap, dont think you will find it, but i could be wrong. Pull a tape on it and call around.

Has anyone shortened a single piece DS like this one and installed it on a single cab standard bed truck?

Well i have a custom steel driveshaft now, cost me $275. Just wondering if that fat one would be better than the one I have now.

Hmatiak, with the new 2 piece shaft in place, have you turned off the speed limiter in the computer? I got a ECSB 99 with the factory 2 piece and was wondering if anyones had trouble with these popping out and screwing up the tranny.
