if you mean the DS, nope it's within a inch of the same length. you also have two slip points on the new setup, so there is plenty of places to compensate for just a inch diff

I mounted it just forward of the tank. I didnt show this in the pics, but i had to weld a 6 inch pc of plate on top of the 3x3 tubing to push the midshaft bearing a little farther to the rear. Then just drilled the holes in the plate for mounting.

Might be different on a crew... but in the extended cab the crossmember, that looks like you cut out, is used for the bearing support.

Its differnet. Picked that crossmember up thinking i could use it, but the frames are different and the tank is in the way.

correct. the crew has no crossmember cause it has a one piece shaft. the extended cab has the crossmember cause of the two piece shaft. where did you get the shaft from and how much did you pay for it?

I may be doing the 2 pc shaft at some point. Since dropping the truck I have a vibration that comes and goes. My truck is an x-cab, has a one piece shaft and also has the cross member in the photos less the actual plate to bolt the bearing support to. I am hoping that I can find a 2 pc unit the right length and then only have to weld in the flat bearing support plate to my crossmember to make it work.
