I've been dragging my feet way too long on getting my 80E rebuilt and back under the truck, mainly due to new and somewhat conflicting information I've stumbled upon. Back in 08 I put the 4L80E in and did the full transgo HD2 install minus the big snap ring and the heavier clutch return springs. I did the pump drill mods and the valve body pressure relief mod along with the cross drilling of the passages in the valve body mod. So now I'm reading that the Sonnax pressure relief valve and TCC clutch regulator valves and internally dual fed are the preferred methods over the transgo HD 2 kit on a high performance rebuild. So the question is how screwed am I and can I undo all the drilling the transgo kit had me do without getting a new pump and new valve body?
