Just wondering if there was any tuning necessary with the Transgo HD2 shift kit? I will be installing mine this weekend. Will it hurt anything if I put one washer in or do you recommend none.

did you have anything done in your tune? If you had any transmission tuning done in the tune, you should go with 1 washer, max. You might want to call Waitforme to verify.

 

allen put mine back to stock settings and then i had all the tranny work done then retuned with 1 washer in....

 

Yea I would not go more than one washer. TM is going to give you a problem on shifts its will feel like your going forward into the window. Hard to explain but youll see.

 

Had two washer in thier and dam did it hit hard to hard for my taste. I know some of you guys like it that wild but not me. Jesse told me before my tune that after a shift kit you need to retune .Something about the computer will want to shift at diffrent RPM points and the shift kit others.Told jesse I had no washers but then dicided to leave one in. shifts great nice and smooth 1-2 is softer but still firm 1-2.

and man did it shift hard
call the dude up and he said he put 3 washers it
the 1-2 shift under a lil throttle is really hard
he finally called me in 2 take 2 washers out

 

I put in 1 washer and it shifted too hard so I took it out now it shifts firm at part throttle and hard at full throttle! You will need to take out some TM!
