Stock G80

Are the stock G80's rebuildable? The guy who had the truck before me put a chrome diff cover on in and never put synthetic fluid in it and not it never locks up!

Any info will help?

pull the cover clean it real good with carb r brake cleaner then put the right fuild in it may be ok just depends on how long it was in their and how mess up it was.
