Dumb question...Why aren't more people running mini spools? Or what is so bad about them exactly?

I think a mini-spool just replaces the guts of the diff, but the end result is the same as a full spool. Spools aren't good for street use.

Not sure why they are preferred over a normal spool. Apparently they are weaker.

Nobody runs a mini spool or spool on the 8.6 because nobody makes a direct bolt in unit. Tyler, what did you have to do to make that mini work?

Curious why more people don't recommend this as an upgrade to a trutrac. I ran one in my 4x4 toyota and it worked great on and off road. If and when I make big power with my truck this will probably be the option I take.
