Default Trutec shift kit

Has anyone used the trutech kit? It's 150 on ebay and come with everything you could do without pulling the tranny. Looking to do a shift kit pretty soon before my tune so if it isn't a good kit what're some recommendations. Truck is a 2000 model rcsb 4.8. Has around 140k but just installed the tranny and it has around 30k on it.

I'd just toss in a corvette servo and tune the tranny and leave it.

Vette servo is only 20 bucks shipped from oregon performance. Great upgrade, makes the 1-2, 2-3 shifts feel alot better than stock and the tune can improve on that.

Then for the tune decrease the shift time as it's set pretty high from the factory and then up the line pressure where you see fit by 10-15% to give it an extra bump. I wouldnt go hog wild there to keep the trans happy.

Yeah, my buddy has a 700R4 with a stage 2 B&M shift kit, high stall converter and corvette servo...its annoying to use as a DD. It kicks way to hard into second and you have to watch what you're doing around corners in the rain.

Vette servo and a tune is definitely the way to go on a 4L60E. Make the shifts nice and firm, but not enough to break the tires free, this will make you happy.

I run a vette servo and have the FMC table tuned on my '60e. It shifts firm in all the gears and when it locks up, you feel it.

The FMC table on the '60e is in need of some love if it's stock.
