Default Truck doesn't squat.

I switched from 7 to 8'' rims, put spring clamps on top of caltracs and went to the track again. It didn't hook any better and alot of people were telling me the back raises up instead of squating down. Would that contribute to my problems or is it normal. How do I make it squat?

take off the spring clamps and all caltracs do is prevent wheel hop, it still wont hook without a decent tire like an ET Street

The caltracs keep it from squating, they push the rear tires down, into the ground, which causes the rear of the truck to raise up.
Is it spinning badly? What tires?

Just curious...

#1 - what amount of pressure do you run in rear tires when at the track?
#2 - what type of tire? street radials, drag radials, or slicks?

#1- 13 psi hooked best last night
#2- MT ET street 28x11.5x16

The 8'' rim took care of spinning down the track and allows me to run lower pressure without the mushy feeling , caltracs helped me take off straight but it still spins at launch.

average 60 fts are 2.1-2.3. I burned out until the truck started pushing forward and got a 1.89 60 ft. Then got happy and tried it again several times but it only worked once. I would say it's the track prep but other people were hooking up OK.
