Exclamation Truck 4L60E vs F-Body 4L60E

Does a 4l60e from a 99-06 Silverado 2wd work on a 98-02 Camaro with an LS1? Does it just bolt up the same? Same length from the tailshaft to bell housing compared to F-body 4l60e? Obviously the trucks dont have a torque arm but we are using a short crossmember mount torque arm anyways.

The units are very similar. The length is the same and it will bolt up. You will have to change the shifter linkage shaft and the second servo is different in the truck units. Might want to get yourself a corvette servo, linkage shaft, and you will be good to go.

One the tailshaft housing, do they use the same slip yoke? Comparing the housing from a '00ish Fbody 60E to the truck 60E the only difference I can find is the chassis mounts that are obviously different.

Thanks,
Jake

btw, dirty30 I have an fbody tailhousing if you need one. I won't be needing it for the swap in my truck, comes with a VSS as well

Okey doke, I've got a Fbody 4L60E I used as a core for the internals, if you're looking for the center case I've got one just sittin in the garage. I went with a brand new 65E case for my build so I don't need it. As for the internals, I can't see any differences between the fbody and the truck so far. I did notice that the core I bought had a 13 vane pump in it lol
