Default Tru-Trac not locking

I noticed last night that my drivers side wheel would start to turn for a sec in the water box and then quit? Then at launch would leave sideways and the drivers wheel slipping. It did not do this every round though? I made 9 passes last night and slipped at launch 3 times, though I still lucked out to win the DOT class. I did break a Tru-Trac in my 10 bolt rear end. Anyone else had this happen with the Tru-Trac? Anyone recommend another locker? Thanks.

I saw Trever1ts do this at the track also. The Eaton lsd seems to hold up pretty well, for a drag race set up a detroit locker would work best.

its the first time that I hear about someones trutrac to start messing up like that? you might be the first lucky guy!! lol.... i have seen easton lsd mess up numerous times along with the other brands, you might have to stick another trutrac in there unless you want to go with a complete locker like mentioned above (eaton locker) but its a full time posi.... how long have you had your trutrac? how many track passes?

Sept 2007 have around 150 passes so far. The first one in the 10 bolt broke with about 100 passes on it. But I had twisted 3 axles before she let go.

How well matched are your tires? The Trutrac is torque sensing, maybe th its sensing more torque to the tire with less traction? The trutrac doesnt provide 50%/50% torque split equally to both tires.

For dragracing and actual locker, or an Eaton or Auburn pro series LSD would be a better choice.

The Trutrac is better suited for roadracing as it allows morepower to be put to the ground whereas a locker would allow the car to spin out.

My TruTrac is still somewhat of a Virgin on the track. Eric and Flaco3rdGen didn't mention anything like this happening...

Is there two different Eaton lockers? Standard or Upgraded? Or should I just go with a Detroit Locker?
